Furphy Foundry provided a smart-looking full-custom Seating solution for a project by Moreland City Council, which involved upgrading three city streets.
The plinth seating provided was for Page Street, which the council transitioned from a one-way road into a premium shared space zone.
Using Queensland spotted gum, Furphy matched the pattern of the existing concrete plinth on the Furphy workshop floor, delivered and then installed, including arm rests and the anchors.
The work in Page Street also included removing an existing asphalt footpath pavement and upgrading to feature stone paving. Furphy worked with Evergreen Civil on the project.
Moreland City Council comprises of inner northern suburbs of Melbourne.
